Beacon

I cannot escape the tyranny of the word
A false beacon or at times a mere image
When I see none on the sea I look for it
A word that is a beacon, false it may be
Then I  drop my anchor and land myself
On unfathomable boredom , a decrepit sky
Of  nothing, in a sea of purposeless faces,
A noise that takes me to nowhere's beyond
Being others' beacons, others' beckoning.
But then I have to go somewhere from here.
